Don’t buy used notebooks – Why? Utah PC Repair, Highland Utah

I wouldn’t buy a used notebook. I would buy a used desktop. What is the difference?

Notebook computers are moved around picked up closed and carried off of all the time. This is hard on hard drives. Desktop computers are usually left in one place. They don’t get dropped they have a better chance of being plugged into a UPS or surge protector and are generally treated better. Notebooks get lugged around in notebooks and on car seats and are moved and jostled all the time. This can be very hard on a hard drive. The price of a hard drive for a notebook or a desktop is very similar. In my experience the motherboards of notebooks veil more often than the motherboards in desktops also. S if o I personally would not buy a used notebook.
