Motherboards are all Different

Today I was repairing a computer that the motherboard was completely dead on.   It just beeped.  We removed all drives  and cards and it still beeped.  We replaced the motherboard with new and the repair was finished.  The hard part is knowing what motherboard to get.  Common terms for motherboards in the Intel brand include the socket 775 and socket 478 for the Intel brands.

You must also line up the right RAM memory on the motherboard.   Some motherboards support DDR2 others DDR3, others SDRAM.   So both the CPU Socket and the RAM must work together.  When repairing a computer’s motherboard you must also worry about the slots on the motherboard.   If you have a video card that needs a PCI express slot, you better get a motherboard with a PCI express slot.  Older motherboard have AGP slots for video.   So Repairing can get complicatied by lining up old parts with new.  Our sister company also repairs computers at home and in offices.   Go to www.pcrescuetechs.com

They also repair computers in Utah.  Both business, office and home computers along with networks etc.
