Today I was repairing a computer that the motherboard was completely dead on. It just beeped. We removed all drives and cards and it still beeped. You must also line up the right RAM memory on the motherboard. Some motherboards support DDR2 others DDR3, others SDRAM. So both the CPU Socket and the RAM must work together. If you have a video card that needs a PCI express slot, you better get a motherboard with a PCI express slot. Older motherboard have AGP slots for video.
